  • For Male Candidates: You must complete a 4.8 km run within 28 minutes.

High-Tech Monitoring for Fair Selection

To ensure transparency and prevent fraud, the board has implemented several advanced measures:

  • No Manual Timing: The committee is strictly prohibited from using manual timing. Instead, standardized electronic timing equipment will be used to record every second accurately.
  • Biometrics & CCTV: High-definition CCTV coverage and biometric systems will be in place to ensure accuracy and prevent any form of impersonation.
  • Official Committee: Every PET center will be overseen by a committee including a Deputy Collector, a Medical Officer, and a Police Deputy Superintendent.

Essential Documents to Carry

Candidates must arrive at the test center on the date and time specified on their admit card. You are required to bring:

  • Admit Card: Downloaded from the official website http://uppbpb.gov.in.
  • Valid Photo ID: A valid original ID such as an Aadhar Card, Passport, or Driving License (e-Aadhar is also acceptable).

Strict Rules and Prohibitions

  • No Drugs/Steroids: The use of steroids, stimulants, or any intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited. If a candidate is found using these, their candidacy will be cancelled, and legal action may be taken.
  • No Second Chances: If you fail to meet the physical standards on the day of the test, there is no provision for a re-test or appeal on health or any other grounds.
  • Result Declaration: Results for the PET (Successful/Unsuccessful) will be displayed on the notice board at the testing site by the end of the day.

What if You Miss Your PET Date?

Attendance on the scheduled date is mandatory. However, if a candidate cannot attend due to an emergency, they (or a representative) must submit a written request to the committee on the day of the exam itself, explaining the reason.

The committee may consider rescheduling the test to another date, but only within the overall scheduled period for PET. No requests will be entertained after the final “Reserve Day” has passed, even for reasons like pregnancy or illness.
