Post-Wise Eligibility and Age Limit

  1. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Anatomy)

There are 4 vacancies in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Candidates need the prescribed postgraduate qualification in Anatomy or the equivalent qualifications listed in the notification. At least three years of teaching experience in the relevant specialty after obtaining the first postgraduate degree is required.

The upper age limit is:

  • 40 years for UR/EWS
  • 45 years for SC

The post carries Level-11 Pay Matrix plus NPA under the 7th CPC.

  1. Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (General Medicine)

UPSC has announced 60 vacancies for this post in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

  1. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Anaesthesiology

UPSC has announced 1 ST vacancy for Anaesthesiology in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).

Candidates require the prescribed recognised medical qualification and the relevant postgraduate degree or diploma in Anaesthesiology. The required experience is:

  • Three years after obtaining a postgraduate degree; or
  • Five years after obtaining a postgraduate diploma.

The upper age limit is 50 years for ST candidates. The post carries Level-11 Pay Matrix plus NPA.

  1. Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale) – Pediatrics

There is 1 EWS vacancy for Pediatrics in NDMC.

This is the biggest recruitment under the advertisement, with 140 vacancies in the Directorate of Prosecution, Home Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Candidates must have:

  • A Degree in Law from a recognised University or Institute.

Important: Ladakh Domicile Requirement

The Law Officer recruitment is exclusively for domiciles of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Candidates must hold a valid domicile certificate issued by the competent authority as prescribed under the applicable Ladakh rules.

UPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

UPSC will conduct the recruitment by selection. Depending on the number of applications and the requirements of the recruitment, candidates may be shortlisted based on factors such as:

  • Desirable qualifications
  • Higher educational qualifications
  • Relevant experience
  • Other prescribed shortlisting criteria
  • Recruitment Test, if conducted
