Qualification

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.

• Final-year students may apply; however, they must provide proof of passing the degree by the specified date set by the BPSC.

• Chief Project Officer: 75,000/-
• District Extension Officer: 50,000/-
• Tehsil Development Officer: 40,000/-
• Panchayat Pashu Sevak: 28,500/-
• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation of 3 years for Permanent Commission and 5 years for Short Service Commission.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD): Age relaxation of 10 years.
• Government Employees: Age relaxation of 5 years.

BPSC 71th Selection Process

The selection process of BPSC 71st Exam 2025 will be conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination

2. Mains Exam

3. Interview

BPSC 71th Exam Pattern 

Preliminary Examination

• Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)

• Paper: General Studies

• Total Questions: 150

• Total Marks: 150

• Duration: 2 hours

• Negative Marking: Yes; 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer

• Qualifying Nature: Marks obtained are not counted in the final merit list

🖊️ Mains Examination

• Type: Descriptive (Written)

• Papers:

  1. General Hindi: 100 marks (Qualifying; minimum 30% required)

  2. General Studies Paper I: 300 marks

  3. General Studies Paper II: 300 marks

  4. Essay: 300 marks

  5. Optional Subject: 100 marks (Qualifying; minimum qualifying marks vary by category)

• Duration: 3 hours for each paper

• Total Marks for Merit Calculation: 900 (excluding qualifying papers)

Note: Candidates must choose one optional subject from the list provided by BPSC. The optional paper is qualifying in nature, and its marks are not added to the final merit list.

🎤 Interview

• Total Marks: 120

• Nature: Personality Test to assess the candidate’s suitability for a career in the state services

📊 Final Selection

• Total Marks Considered: 1020 (900 from Mains + 120 from Interview)

• Merit List: Prepared based on the combined scores of Mains and Interview

BPSC 71st CCE 2025 – Documents Required

1. Photograph

   • Recent passport-size color photo (as per specification)

2. Signature

   • Scanned signature in black ink on white paper (prescribed format)

3. Educational Certificates

   • Graduation degree certificate or final year mark sheet

   • Class 10th certificate (for proof of date of birth)

4. Caste Certificate (if applicable)

   • SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by a competent authority

   • Must be issued in Bihar (for Bihar quota candidates)

5. EWS Certificate (if applicable)

   • For candidates claiming EWS reservation

6. Domicile Certificate (if claiming Bihar reservation benefits)

7. Disability Certificate (if applicable)

   • Issued by a government medical board for PwD candidates

8. Identity Proof

   • Aadhaar card / Voter ID / PAN card / Passport / Driving license

9. Experience Certificate (if required for any specific post)

10. No Objection Certificate (NOC)

    • For government employees applying through proper channel

11. Application Fee Payment Receipt

    • Online payment confirmation or bank challan receipt
