LNMU 2025 UG Provisional Merit List Notice

Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) is pleased to announce the release of the Provisional Merit List for UG Admission 2025–29. The list, available in PDF format on the official LNMU Admission Portal (or OFSS Bihar), was published on May 30, 2025, based on students’ Class XII marks and relevant reservation criteria 

Selected candidates are advised to download the PDF immediately and verify essential details such as name, application number, course, reservation category, and allotted college. A designated correction window will remain open for a short period, enabling candidates to submit objections or request amendments. Following resolution of discrepancies, the first merit/allotment list is expected by June 9, 2025 .

Applicants listed provisionally should prepare all necessary documents (Class XII mark‑sheet, certificates, ID proof, photographs) for the next stage—document verification and admission. Further updates and exact dates will be posted on the official portal.

LNMU UG Admission 2025 Selection Process

The LNMU UG Admission 2025 selection process is based purely on merit, with no entrance exam required. Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the minimum qualifying marks (generally 45% for Arts and Commerce, 50% for Science). Admission applications are submitted online through the official LNMU portal. Based on the submitted academic details, the university prepares a Provisional Merit List, considering marks, reservation policies, and subject preferences. Candidates listed provisionally can request corrections if needed. Following this, LNMU releases the First Merit List, allocating colleges and courses. Selected candidates must complete document verification and pay admission fees within the given timeline. If seats remain, second and third merit lists are released, followed by spot admissions for vacant seats. The entire process is conducted transparently through the online dashboard system. Final admission is confirmed only after verification of original documents. Classes for the new academic session are expected to begin by mid-July 2025.

         Go to the LNMU Admission Home webpage (lnmu.ac.in → Admission 2025‑29 section).
      2. Locate the notification
         Find the link titled “Provisional Selection List Publication: 30.05.” under the admission notices.
      3. Click the PDF link
         The announcement link (e.g., 23‑May‑2025 notice) will open a PDF. That PDF contains the Provisional Merit List for UG admissions .
      4. Download & Save
         • Click the download icon or use browser’s “Save As” feature.
         • Store it as “LNMU_UG_Provisional_Merit_List_2025.pdf” for quick access later.
      5. Verify your details
         Open the PDF and check your:
         • Name
         • Application ID
         • Course (BA/BSc/BCom, etc.)
         • Reservation category & allotted college
      6. Take timely action
         If there are errors (e.g., spelling, category), note them and submit corrections within the official correction window (typically early June).
