About two to three days prior to the test, the Commission’s website will have the ability to download admission certificates. A printout of the admission certificate must be brought by the candidate to the exam room.
Candidates must arrive at the testing location two hours prior to the scheduled time if they have not yet authenticated with Aadhaar. A minimum of two passport-sized, recent colour photos and original, valid photo identification with the date of birth as stated on the admission certificate must be carried in addition to the certificate; otherwise, entry will be denied. Examples of such documents include:
- E-Aadhaar printout or Aadhaar card

iii. A licence to drive,
IV. PAN Card,
v. A passport,
vi. A college or school-issued ID card.
vii. Any additional picture with a legitimate ID card from the federal or state government.

i. First, access the official Staff Selection Commission (SSC) website at https://ssc.gov.in.
ii. Click the Admit Card tab in the Quick Links section of the Home Page, then choose “Download E-Admit Card of Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2025.”
iii. You will be taken to the Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2025 admit card login page.

Selection Procedure for SSC Stenographers in 2025 – (चयन प्रक्रिया)
Two steps are involved in the hiring process for SSC Stenographer Grades C and D:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT): All applicants must take this online exam.
2. Stenography Test: Candidates who pass the CBT must complete a test of their typing and dictation skills. This is merely a qualifying test; passing it is required, but the marks are not added to the merit score.

Exam Pattern for SSC Stenographer 2025 (परीक्षा पैटर्न)
There are 200 questions in the CBT (Online Test), and each question is worth 200 points. The exam lasts for two hours in total. It covers three topics:
- There are fifty questions in General Intelligence & Reasoning, and each one is worth one mark.
- There are 50 questions in general awareness, and each one is worth one mark.
- There are 100 questions in the English Language and Comprehension test, worth 100 points overall.
- For each incorrect response, there is a 0.25 mark deduction.

SSC Stenographer 2025 Proficiency Exam
A dictation in either Hindi or English makes up the skill test.
For Grade C, the dictation speed is 100 words per minute, and for Grade D, it is 80 words per minute.
The language and grade level have an impact on the transcription time:

- Hindi Grade C: 55 minutes
