Who Can Apply for JNV Class 11 Admission 2027?

How Will Class 11 Selection Be Done?
NVS will fill Class 11 seats only against vacancies that remain after students already studying in JNVs complete the Class 10 stage.
The selection process involves a district-level merit list, followed by a State-level merit list for remaining vacancies. Residence and Class 10 study in the concerned district are important for district-level selection. Candidates from one state cannot seek admission in another state through this process.
Candidates can opt for up to two streams, and for each stream they can select a maximum of three JNVs from the options available on the portal.
Once a candidate is selected for a particular JNV and stream against a vacancy, a change of JNV or stream will not be entertained.
Which Streams Are Available?
The prospectus covers the following Class 11 streams:

- Vocational

JNV Class 11 Selection Test Pattern
The examination will contain 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. There will be five sections, with 20 questions in each section.

The examination will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Divyang students will receive an additional 50 minutes as per government norms.
The question paper will be available in English and Hindi. Candidates must mark their answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ball-point pen. Pencil use is prohibited. There is no negative marking, and each correct answer carries one mark.
Minimum Qualifying Marks and Merit Cut-Off
Candidates must secure at least 6 marks out of 20 in each of the five subjects.
For preparation of the stream-wise merit list, an overall cut-off out of 60 is also prescribed:
- General/OBC Boys: 21 marks
- General/OBC Girls: 20 marks
- SC/ST/Divyang candidates: 18 marks
NVS has also retained the right to modify the selection criteria if required for administrative reasons.
Reservation for Class 11 Lateral Entry
Vacant seats under categories such as Rural, Girl, SC, ST, OBC and Divyang are to be filled by candidates belonging to the respective categories, subject to NVS rules.
For OBC candidates, the notification specifies that the Central List of OBC will apply. Candidates whose caste is not included in the Central OBC list are required to apply as General candidates.
A candidate studying Class 10 in a rural-area school is considered under the rural category. If the candidate has studied in an urban-area school even for a single day during the session, the candidate is treated as an urban candidate under the stated rules.
