Who Can Apply for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026?
General Scholarship – After Class 12/Diploma
Students can apply if they:
- Passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the academic year 2023-24, 2024-25 or 2025-26.

Medical students will receive ₹50,000 annually in two instalments of ₹25,000 each, while engineering students will receive ₹40,000 in two instalments of ₹20,000 each. The ₹20,000 and ₹15,000 scholarships are similarly paid in two instalments.
The scholarship is available for the entire duration of the course, excluding internship or stipendiary periods, provided the student continues to satisfy the renewal conditions.
When Will the Scholarship Be Paid?
For new entrants, the first instalment becomes due on September 1, 2026, while the second instalment becomes due on February 1, 2027. Subsequent instalments follow the same sequence.
The scholarship is transferred to the selected student’s bank account through NEFT. Bank account details, IFSC code and a cancelled cheque bearing the beneficiary’s name are compulsory. The account must be active.
How Many Scholarships Are Available?
The scheme provides 80 General Scholarships and 40 Special Scholarships per LIC Division.
