SSC has announced approximately 2,536 tentative vacancies for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026.
The final number of vacancies will be decided later. SSC will also publish updated post-wise and category-wise vacancy details on its official website. The Commission has clarified that it does not collect state-wise or zone-wise vacancies.
SSC CHSL 2026 Educational Qualification
For most LDC/JSA and DEO posts, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.
However, for specified DEO and DEO Grade A posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Staff Selection Commission and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
Candidates appearing in the Class 12 examination may also apply, but they must possess the required qualification by October 7, 2026.
SSC CHSL 2026 Application Correction
SSC will open the application correction window from October 14 to October 16, 2026.
Candidates can correct and re-submit their application up to two times during this period.
