Bihar Senior Resident/Tutor 2026: Who Can Apply?
According to the notification, the educational qualification will be considered as per the latest NMC Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025. DNB and DNB Super Speciality qualifications are also recognised for selection to the Senior Resident/Tutor posts.
The minimum educational qualification for Senior Resident/Tutor posts is a postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty. In cases where the number of eligible candidates is insufficient, candidates with the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the relevant specialty may also be considered. How the Senior Resident/Tutor Panel Will Be Filled
The notification says that the vacancies mentioned in the prospectus will be filled through the panel prepared under this process.
For the tenure posts, 40% of the posts will be filled from members of the Bihar State Health Service, another 40% from postgraduate teaching programme candidates of state medical/dental colleges, and the remaining 20% from eligible private doctors, as specified in the notice.
Candidates who have already completed a three-year tenure as Senior Resident/Tutor in a particular subject will not be eligible for appointment again as Senior Resident/Tutor in that subject under the three-year tenure provision.
