Selection Process : CSIR-NCL Pune MTS Recruitment 2026

The selection for CSIR-NCL MTS posts will be done through:

1. Competitive Written Examination — for all provisionally eligible candidates.
2. Document Verification — before the issue of Offer of Appointment.
3. Medical Examination — as per government standards.

The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the performance of candidates in the competitive written examination.

Tie-Breaking Policy

In case two or more candidates score equal aggregate marks, the tie will be resolved in the following order:

Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Each correct answer awards 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

Salary : CSIR-NCL Pune MTS Recruitment 2026

• Pay Level: Level-01 (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900) as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
• Approx. Total Emoluments: Rs. 40,000/- (including all allowances and HRA at the minimum salary level in Category X city).
• Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), New Pension Scheme 2004, reimbursement of medical expenses, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and accommodation as per CSIR allotment rules (subject to availability).
