2. Educational Qualifications

The recruitment is open for both Science and Non-Science backgrounds:

  • Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English. (Alternatively, a 3-year Engineering Diploma or 2-year Vocational course with Physics and Maths is acceptable).
  • Other than Science Subjects: Passed 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

3. Marital Status

Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period.

To join the IAF, candidates must clear a rigorous three-phase selection test:

  1. Phase-I (Online Test): An objective-type test consisting of Science subjects (Physics, Maths, English) or RAGA (Reasoning & General Awareness) for non-science streams. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
