Application Fee : RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026
The examination fee depends on the candidate’s category.

The fee must be paid online only through internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI. Candidates who do not appear in the CBT will not receive the applicable fee refund.
Candidates claiming EBC fee concession must note that EBC is different from OBC and EWS. For the EBC concession, the required valid document must be available on or before the application closing date.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027. The basic age range varies from post to post, with the notification specifying limits between 18 and 40 years depending on the category of post.
Upper-age relaxation includes:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC-NCL: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years for UR/EWS, 13 years for OBC-NCL and 15 years for SC/ST
- Additional provisions apply to eligible Ex-Servicemen, Railway staff and certain other categories.
Age relaxation is not cumulative. Where a candidate is eligible for more than one relaxation, the maximum applicable relaxation is allowed as per the notification.

RRB Paramedical Eligibility 2026
The educational qualification differs according to the post. Candidates must possess the required qualification from a recognised institution by the application closing date, 14 October 2026.
Nursing Superintendent
Candidates must have a Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife after passing a three-year General Nursing and Midwifery course from a school of Nursing or institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, or B.Sc Nursing.
Dialysis Technician
Required qualification is B.Sc plus either a Diploma in Haemodialysis or two years of satisfactory in-house training/experience in haemodialysis work in a reputed institution. Certain B.Sc programmes in Dialysis/Renal Dialysis Technology are also accepted as equivalent.
Health & Malaria Inspector Grade II
Applicants need a B.Sc with Chemistry as a main or optional subject, along with either a one-year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector or a one-year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector awarded by NCVT, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Audiologist & Speech Therapist
A Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognised university is required, along with registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Pharmacist (Entry Grade)
Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) from a recognised university/institute and registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948. A Doctor of Pharmacy with the required registration is also accepted.
Radiographer X-Ray Technician
The qualification is 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry plus a two-year Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radiodiagnosis Technology from a recognised institute. Several specified degree/diploma qualifications in radiation technology and medical imaging are also listed as acceptable equivalents.
ECG Technician
Candidates need 10+2 or Graduation in Science along with a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology, Cardiology, Cardiology Technician or Cardiology Techniques from a reputed institution. The certificate must have a minimum duration of one year.
Optometrist
The notification accepts B.Sc in Optometry or a Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician, with the diploma course having a duration of three to four years. Registration with the concerned council/licensing body is also required.
Lab Assistant Grade II
Candidates need 12th/10+2 in Science plus either a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or an eligible certificate course in Medical Lab Technology of at least one year. The notification also accepts B.Sc Medical Lab Technology with 10+2 Science as an equivalent qualification.

RRB Paramedical Exam Pattern 2026
The selection process includes a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification. RRB may conduct additional CBTs if required.
The CBT will contain 100 objective questions for 100 marks and will normally be of 90 minutes duration. PwBD/PWD candidates eligible for the scribe facility will get 120 minutes.

There will be negative marking of one-third mark for every wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for OBC-NCL and SC, and 25% for ST. The notification also contains a provision for relaxation for PwBD candidates in case of shortage against reserved vacancies.
