Short Information: UP PGT Recruitment 2026 The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for the Uttar Pradesh PGT Recruitment 2026. This recruitment drive is for a total of 2,607 PGT posts in aided secondary schools across Uttar Pradesh. Specifically, the recruitment covers 2,329 PGT posts in boys’ schools and 278 PGT posts in girls’ schools.

UP PGT 2026 Exam Pattern

The selection process carries a total of 400 marks:

• Written Examination: 360 marks
• Interview: 40 marks

The written examination contains 120 objective-type questions. Of these, 30 questions are from General Knowledge and 90 questions are related to the concerned subject. The duration of the written examination is two hours.

Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect or multiple-marked answer. Thus, candidates need to take the negative marking into account while attempting the paper.
